Everybody hurts, relieve some of that pain with us

        What is Mobility?

Mobility means the body's ability to move, pain-free, through a given range of motion. A serious lack of mobility can negatively affect a person's quality of life, so it's important to maintain it throughout one's lifetime. For instance, if you can't touch your toes, you have, by definition, a serious lack of mobility. This type of restriction can cause muscular compensation and pain throughout your body. Once that tightness pain sets in, people often need massage therapy, or even physiotherapy to resolve the issue. This a prime example of "an ounce of prevention being worth a pound of cure".

You won't believe how good your body can feel after just one session. Some people say a mobility session feels like going to a yoga session, if they were also getting a massage at the same time. Anyone can benefit, especially athletes, office workers, people with highly physical jobs, or anyone who has perhaps neglected their body for a while.

        So, what's the process?

During a mobility session, an instructor will guide you through a series of movements which serve to mobilize certain muscles or muscle groups. These usually involve the use of simple implements like a foam roller or lacrosse ball. Mobility work feels like a deep tissue massage, so it can be a bit uncomfortable at times, but you are always in full control of the intensity and pressure with which you perform the exercises. Once the mobility work is finished, your instructor will guide you through a stretching routine that will help you feel more relaxed, and help cement the effects of the mobility work.
